Transferring video from a mobile device to a monitor?

Is it possible to duplicate the video image from the device (Android) to a monitor with good fps and screen rotation support?
Everything I found can be roughly divided into 4 categories:

1. Utilities that read from the framebuffer via adb. [email protected], Android Screen Monitor.
   
2. VNC servers. Webkey, Droid VNC.
   
3. Programs that write to a video file directly on the device. The same framebuffer, but as a rule you need root, because. a normal user does not have the necessary permissions to read from /dev/graphics/fb0. Screencast Video Recorder.
   
4. HDMI + adapter. SlimPort.
   

Impressions:
Programs working through adb and VNC servers - bad fps (~ 5). As a result, animations and backlighting of button presses, a sharp change of screens are lost. In short, slow down.
Screencast on the device - an acceptable frame rate is possible (~ 20-30), but imposes too many unnecessary gestures. Sometimes video encoding artifacts are noticeable.
HDMI - low latency, but no portrait mode support.
Is it all so sad? I suspect that there are a huge number of people directly interested in such functionality: programmers, authors of reviews, presentations, fans of games and movies on the big screen. There is definitely no question of the lack of demand for technology. If I'm not mistaken, the same owners of iProducts have AirPlay (you need Apple TV) and AirServer (paid). The work of the second had a chance to observe live - impressive.
I propose to jointly list here all the solutions that exist today, including paid ones, with external adapters, requiring root, etc. Over time, it will be possible to move it into one review post.
