To delete a product on the site (Bitrix), is it enough to “mark for deletion” in 1s?

Hello. Site on Bitrix, goods come from 1s ut. It is necessary to delete or deactivate products on the site after synchronization with 1s. On the site, in "Integration with 1C:Enterprise" the "delete" parameter is set for the items: "What to do with products that are not in the import file:", "What to do with groups that are not in the import file" In 1s, the necessary products are only marked on After unloading from 1s, nothing happened on the site with the goods. And I have two questions:
1) in 1s, the goods need to be deleted or should the mark for deletion be enough?

I don’t know how UT, I didn’t contact ZuP, so it works, you mark it for deletion. The division is not unloaded when it is fully unloaded.
But in this case, you need to look at the principle of generating the upload file, how the filter is configured there.
With whom he communicated, they make a separate directory where the structure for the Nomeclature is set, incl. it regulates what to unload.

Have you checked these settings on the site side?

If a product is marked for deletion in 1C, then when switching to Bitrix, the "Activity" flag is reset for the product. Therefore, you can do this - after the update, run the script on Bitrix and there delete all products that have "Activity" = false
