Through what remotely connect to machines with different OS?

There are several machines in two cities, on Windows 10 and the latest Ubuntu. There was a need to manage all this remotely. So far, TeamViewer is coping with this, but it is somehow clumsy, the speed of work is not too fast.
Are there convenient alternatives?
Moreover, something "indestructible" is needed, because the machines are without physical access, there are no experienced users near them at all. You need to set it up once and always work without problems. Sounds like science fiction, but what if there is such a thing? (:
Only support for a shared clipboard, sound from a remote machine, etc. is really needed. It's just that you have to work with machines quite "tightly". But still, the most important thing is speed and stability, the rest is not so important.
