Thinkpad x201 tablet outdoor vs. thinkpad x200 tablet outdoor - which one should you choose?
The question is next.
I decided to buy a laptop for programming in the park (my childhood dream is to work in nature).
And having suffered with my thinkpad t430 (I bought a t430 3 years ago with a screen that turned out to be many times worse than that of my old dell vostro), I decided to deal with the screens more seriously before buying.
Loving synthpads, I discovered with pleasure that the thinkpad x200 tablet and the thinkpad x201 tablet have special outdoor screens, 400nit each, which very much allow you to work on the street. According to Internet reviews - these screens are simply excellent.
Not understanding at first why tablet versions are needed at all (spinning, an extra opportunity to break), I first wanted to put a screen from 200 outdoor on a regular x201 (and I respect him) (they said that there is such a possibility, and there was a person who does this). But when I saw enough of how beautiful it is to draw on a tablet, I decided to stop on a tablet anyway.
And now I'm choosing - take thinkpad x200 tablet outdoor or thinkpad x201 tablet outdoor?
In this connection - a few questions:
1. Do thinkpad x200 tablet outdoor and thinkpad x201 tablet outdoor have matrices the same or not?People are just fans of both of them, but the video shows that the x201 has a glossy screen. And 2 x200 seems to be matte (at least the x200 photo on which is supposedly outdoor with a matte screen). And matte is definitely preferable for me.
Lenovo writes about this matrix https://support.lenovo.com/es/en/documents/pd010685
12.1" WXGA TFT (1280x800 resolutions) color
Anti-glare
LED backlight
400 nits
16:10 aspect ratio
500:1 contrast ratio
1.2% reflectivity
Multiple anti-reflectivity layers
PVA or IPS
This is PVA or IPS that confuses me.IPS is glossy and PVA is matte ?
And the people understood, they say that the x200 has a matrix "Superbright Outdoor Viewable LED 400nit, 500:1 contrast, Glossy, 1.2% reflectivity, multiple anti-reflectivity layers, Toshiba S-PVA, FRU 13N7272, PN 42T0697, Model# LT121EE08000".
2. Productivity + operating time . I will put 8 gig of memory + 128 GB ssd on both versions, and even on a 200 tablet it will be possible to work. But 201 is preferable, as it is more powerful. But somewhere I met information that 201 has an operating time almost 2 times lower than that of 200 on batteries of the same capacity. This is true? If 201 has 20% less running time than 200, that's good. But if not, again, 200 is preferable.
So, the main question is whether there is a 201 tablet in nature, outdoor on 400nit but matte, and which does not differ from 200 tablet in terms of operating time?
