They ask for data, is it normal practice?
Good afternoon, I'm getting a job in a remote company, they ask for a few things:
1) A color scan of the signature (for reporting)
2) Contacts of the next of kin
The company is trustworthy and there are no unnecessary suspicions, the guys are good, I like everything. There is only one question - is it a common practice to require this data when applying for a job?

The scan of the signature is somewhat strange. But the contact is quite normal. Too often remote workers now disappear, and organizations then have troubles if a person is employed.
Contacts of the closest relative and we are asked - so that if something happens to a person - there is someone to report. But the scan of the signature, and even color - these are clearly scammers
Never any organization has the right to require a color scan of the signature. Send them away.
And advice - even when signing documents, try to capture the printed text with your signature so that it is more difficult to scan.
Sign the contract, send it by mail, tell the track number. Some kind of crap signature scan. This is done this way and not otherwise, they don’t trust, so let them not give access until they receive the original contract and let them do the scan themselves, as soon as they receive the original .
Did they break through the office at least?
