There is FTP access, but no hosting access. How to archive everything that is on the hosting (Website on MODX)?
Please, help! The second day I'm looking for a solution to the problem ... :(
I use FileZilla to access ftp. There is a site on MODX hosted, I need to make a copy on a local server. I wanted to download all the files through FileZilla and transfer them to a folder on Open Server. but FileZilla gives a lot errors with not transferred files, they are > 70%. Copying, going into each folder is a mockery in my opinion. Surely, there is a way to make everything faster and better. If anyone knows, please share! Very necessary! Or maybe there is some is there a way to backup the entire site through the MODX admin panel?

Many thanks to everyone for participating! So far, the problem has been solved like this: I sent the archive to the customer so that he himself unpacks it into the right folder, since he does not want to give access to hosting, and through ftp he gives a bunch of errors like there is no connection to the server.
If not by means of sms and there is no access to the shell, then:
1) Load adminer (1 php file), pick up the database dump.
2) Google about php backup files - find a suitable tool written in php that will archive everything, and all that remains is to pick up the archive.
Hello, upload the site archiving script through the admin panel - pro-wordpress.ru/poleznoe/raspakovka-arxiva-na-xos... and the base archiving script sypex.net/ru/products/dumper/screencast , then run them from the address bar, then download the resulting archives.
As I understand it, a copy needs to be made in order to make changes and upload it to the hosting again. In this case, it will be most efficient to set up ftp through some IDE. For example PHPStorm supports FTP out of the box and automatically syncs changes on save (if configured).
FTP access is also available in such IDEs as Netbeans, CodeLobster, WebMatrix, Komodo Edit.
If you replace FileZilla with WinSCP, you can set it to automatically sync folders.

And the answer was the following.
Use the Vapor extension. It creates a complete copy of your site. Used for reservations on https://modxcloud.com/
And this is for those who have not mastered the search.
