There is a project to create a 3D printer

Setting the Goal: to make an inkjet-type 3D printer using publicly available cheap components - that is, everyone can repeat it and buy everything you need to create it in ordinary stores in your city.
The maximum cost of the printer is 10% of the minimum cost of a 3D printer sold by companies. Based on the results of the search, the price of the minimum printer turned out to be 40 tons. Rub. (I looked only from those printers that you can buy / order right now) hence the cost of our printer should not exceed 4 tons. Rub.

Question actually 2)

1. Who wants to join the project?
2. Is it worth writing a series of articles on Habré on the project or only 1 final when there will already be a working sample?

Has to write when something is on hand. Otherwise, it will turn out: a lot, a lot, a lot of reasoning and theory, and ... "oops, it didn't work out."

What do you mean by "join the project"?
P.$. Good luck! It will be interesting if it works.
PP$. On the second question: it will be more interesting for me to read a series of articles. Even if it doesn’t burn out, there will still be interesting information and it will be clear why it didn’t burn out. Or, if it doesn’t work out, write the final article anyway and tell us why and why.

Is it something like the RepRap project? (On an existing printer, you can get plastic parts to create a new one. Supplement them with motors and guides, and there will already be a full-fledged printer)
PS It will also be more interesting to read a series of articles. Well, good luck with the project!

At least 4 stepper motors of suitable power / accuracy + electronics for controlling them + head ... This is already more than 4 tr. if you search for publicly available sources. Those. a fundamentally lower price can be achieved either with large-scale purchases (makibox was almost mastered for $ 200, but burned out in the end), or you need to be a manufacturer of these engines ...

I also soared like that, I thought about assembling it myself, and then I freaked out and bought a ready-made engraver.ru/products/3d-printery/arm-10 For my small souvenir, it’s the very thing, I’ve already recaptured my 200 thousand and earned on top. So it's easier to take a new one and rack your brains.
