Depends on the format of this firmware. Maybe some kind of gzip...

HEX is usually bytes converted to hexadecimal format.. hence 2 characters = 1 byte. However, there may be some technical data, such as a title. I don't remember exactly about this.
Therefore, the firmware in flash memory will take about 4 kb
