The top command shows a user that is not present. How is this possible?

The server is running Debian OS, if you specify the top command, then in the USER column one of the names is demouser+ (just like that, with the "+" symbol). But there is no such user in the system, there is only demouser_plus. The system makes a substitution when displaying the user, and is it really demouser_plus? Or is there something else, more subtle?

press f, turn on the display RUID = Real User Id
and compare with # id user_name
if you set vestaCP, then there is such a surprise:
