Good evening! A friend ordered me a Wordpress website based on the Woodstock template , but he is ready to pay only for a fully finished product (the policy of the company where he works), and therefore I cannot buy this template in advance and contact technical support accordingly. I installed the downloaded template, did everything, started translating the .PO-file created on the basis of the .POT-file that was given along with the template. Translated ~800 of 1100+ lines, uploaded to the site. Everything on the site itself has been translated, and is now in Russian, while the settings panel of the template itself remains in English. How can this be fixed?

If you have looked well and the phrases that are in the admin panel are not included in the 300 remaining untranslated lines, then this means that the admin panel is not prepared for translation. It is also possible that the theme has more translation files located in other theme folders. We must look for them. If they are not there, then the only option is to look for admin phrases in the theme files and translate right there. However, when updating the theme, the entire translation will have to be done again. Although, if you use a child theme, the damage during the update can be minimized. But this already depends on the theme, it may not be possible to make a translation in the files of the child theme.

Install a localized Russian WordPress on the client side and translate the admin panel if it has non-standard terms. If the site is multilingual, then it depends on. In WPML, you can customize the language of the admin panel and there are advanced tools for translating any pieces of WP, if their output correctly matches i18n

I have the same problem. The translation file contains phrases for both the face and the admin. The face has changed, there is no admin panel. woffice theme. Maybe someone knows a better answer?
