The sound wheezes when using AMD Audio CoProcessor, what is the reason?

Hello!

The other day I bought a laptop Lenovo L340 17API (81LY001URK).
CPU: AMD RyZen 3500u, GPU: AMD Radeon RX Vega 8
.

I installed Windows 10 Pro and found that the sound is wheezing and resembles a robot . Disabled in the settings (windows) additional sound processing, use in exclusive mode, hardware acceleration (in various combinations; the sampling rate did not change). There was no point.
When checking with windows tools (in the settings), the sound wheezed (and when playing media too), while I found that when checking the sound in the Realtek Audio Console , the sound is normal if hardware acceleration is enabled. As a result, by the method of scientific poke, I discovered that when you turn offAMD Audio CoProcessor (in device manager) the sound becomes normal. Hence the question is the problem in the hardware (defective processor) or does AMD have crooked firewood, or maybe Lenovo BIOS?

Ps I downloaded all the firewood from the office. Lenovo site, BIOS tried to update (from the same place) wrote that the same version was already installed, also reinstalled firewood on amd from their office. site was useless

@quantirum

The problem was still wood.
Decision:

  1. Update the OS to the latest version:
Start → Settings → Update and security → Check for updates
  2. Downloading:
    • DDU Tool - needed to completely remove the video card driver
    • Drivers - the actual driver that we will install

  3. We turn off the Internet connection (for wi-fi, uncheck the box to connect automatically) (so that the OS does not install firewood ahead of the father)
  4. Removing the driver:
    • We boot the PC in protected mode:
WIN + R → write msconfig in the window → press enter → boot tab → check the safe mode → restart the PC
    • Run the DDU Tool:
First, it asks where to extract the files, select the directory and extract it → look for "Display Driver Uninstaller.exe" in it and run it → go to the settings and in the AMD driver settings check the box "Delete AMD Audio Bus" → close the settings tab and select the type of device - video card, manufacturer AMD → select delete and reboot.
ps after a reboot, you will again enter protected mode, to exit it you need to go back to msconfig and uncheck it, you can do this before starting the uninstall

  5. Installing the driver:
    • Disable antivirus
    • Run the downloaded file and install
    • Don't forget: turn on your antivirus and connect to the internet

All the best!
