The software does not start, how to solve the problem?

- I downloaded the software in a zip archive
- unzip it in /opt/software-name/
- I go to /opt/software-name/
- I launch the software with ./software-name, after giving the rights to execute
But the output is an error: " bash: . /software-name: No such file or directory ", although the file is in place. What could be the reason for this and how to fix it?

Reinstalled the OS and it worked. It's just a shame that I had to reconfigure the environment.
Probably something got up wrong, because even grep did not work

means you didn't go to /opt/software-name/
what does ls -l show?

Didn't find what you were looking for?
