The site is indexed in Google with www, in Yandex - without www, how best to sort it out?

The site exists for a long time, discovered this problem (subject). Of course, you need to force a redirect (either from www to non-www , or vice versa).
In which search engine is it better to move, so as not to fall out of the search results even for a while, and to avoid any pitfalls, if any. If this particular question is stupid - in general, you are interested in what is the best thing to do in this situation?

It is necessary to define the main mirror in robots.txt with the directive Host: and one of the search engines will eventually change the main mirror to the one specified in Host.

Depends on what you choose
. If you need to make a move in Yandex, then through the webmaster and robots, you first need to do the merging of domains, and then the redirect

I would do the move in Google, because Google usually moves the site faster. But in general, of course, you need to look where there is less traffic from, in that search engine and move, because there is still a risk of losing positions (in Yandex there was already a negative experience, I moved back after losing positions).
