The server is overheating, what to do?
There is an HP DL360g6 server, which, of course, has an iLO2 controller. The server itself is quite loaded, the percentage is almost always 100%. Through coretemp and sensors, the temperature of the cores is determined at 77-80 degrees Celsius, which in my opinion is too much. In iLO, the processor temperature reading is at the same time about 47-50 degrees, respectively, the fans do not turn on at full speed, according to the indications of the controller, their speed is 20-25% of the maximum.
How to proceed? The latest versions of iLO and BIOS are delivered, the result is the same. If there is no way to make the controller see a normal temperature, then how can you at least overclock the fans? Or only to the service center?

And what exactly is the problem? Is there something that doesn't give you peace? What are the problems with stability? Judging by the hubs, you have Linux there, I hope at least supported for this server?

And in the proliant support pack, isn't it possible to control the fans? I do n’t know how for g6, but for old people g1 works fine,
but in general it’s better to go to a service center ... nerves will be safer :)
Put the condo in the server room? If it's hot, of course.
I once suffered a lot at my last job, due to the fact that the server was in a room without ventilation. He was very tense due to the fact that the door had to be kept open. I even did stretch marks so that they would not climb. Then the conder knocked out the management, motivating the dead accounting, therefore, the evil tax office, and everything was ok.
ps serv is the same
