The official Ubuntu comes with a KDE interface, which programs can I uninstall?
Initially installed Ubuntu with Unity interface. After that, the KDE interface was installed, which I liked later. Because of this interface, many programs have been duplicated (for example: Calculator from Gnome and KCalc from KDE). What is better to remove through Synaptic (or any of its analogues), and which ones to leave in order not to damage the system dependency? (For example, you can only remove Image Viewer from ubuntu-desktop.)

All your settings are in your home directory or in /etc, it's not difficult to back them up and it doesn't take long, if anything. Unless I'm confusing anything, apt looks for dependencies and removing a package that another needs will trigger a warning.
