How to manage a server in a data center?

Hello. I'm going to assemble a server on Ryzen 9 and send it to the data center for the kolokeishin service. The question is, how do you manage it? I have to enter the initial installation of the OS. Do I need to install the OS on it in advance or can I somehow remotely? As far as I understand, the COM port will be used, but here's how to install the same Linux through it

Well, usually, normal server servers are installed in data centers that have iKVM / iLO / iDRAC (the names are different - the essence is the same - a board that allows you to control a computer via tyrnet - go into the BIOS, make the initial setup of the axis, get into the RAID controller settings , if there is one.
But this is all for a normal server server. There is nothing like that for a "server-from-workstation". Yes, there are some models of mothers that support remote control. But for a regular computer, there is not and is not expected any piece of hardware that could be inserted into a wheelbarrow, even for a hundred thousand miles.

Data centers have ip-kvm service. Of course, it is better to prepare the server in advance before sending.

But for an ordinary computer, there is not and is not expected any piece of iron that could be inserted into a wheelbarrow, even for a hundred thousand miles.
Inside the company - no, even for a hundred thousand miles.
But there is outside the company, called IP KVM , although not for a hundred thousand miles, but comparable to the cost of an average computer. Forward over the network (k) keyboard, (c) video and (m) mouse (hence the name KVM). The Power and Reset buttons will not be able to be forwarded, here you will need either a collective farm with a soldering iron, or an errand boy from the data center (it is not so often necessary to press Power or Reset).

It is better to prepare the server completely in advance and it is important that it receives addresses via DHCP - perhaps in the data center they will be able to tell you its ip address right after turning it on.
But primary access via IP KVM and access through it on demand (paid or free) is standard practice.
Also, the standard practice is to virtualize the server - that is, install ESXI\Hyper-V on it, which will allow you to more flexibly manage the OS and server loads. But it depends on the tasks.

I prepare a server in advance in the office, after arriving at the colocation, if necessary, I ask for ipkvm
