The mouse and touchpad stopped working on the laptop, where to dig?
Mouse and touchpad stopped working on Asus laptop. At the same time, the mouse glows in the usb port, but the cursor does not move. When you connect a flash drive, it functions and works fine. Windows 7 and 8 are installed on the laptop, chopped off in both. What could be the problem?

Try to update / reinstall the firewood, and also try to start from a USB flash drive in Linux and try it there, if it works, stay on it or reinstall windows, the problem is either due to firewood, or you broke something, and possibly problems with the board)
+1 for firewood or, for example, the battery in the mouse is dead, and the touch pad is turned off when the mouse is connected (I don’t know if there is such a function in Win7, 8, but it definitely is in 10.)
