more than 400r is enough for your tasks, I would not give for this rarity

Whichever processor you choose, it will not increase assembly speed for modern office tasks, since the main reason for low speed will be slow RAM, i.e. the choice of processor will give a few percentages of performance (and the number of cores will not affect the result). It's good that you have 8 gigabytes, now this is the minimum for work.
The main upgrade of such a machine, I believe, will not be a cheap ssd.

I would buy a used mother on LGA775 with 4 ddr2 slots so as not to spend money on memory, because e5420-e5440 processors for 600-800 rubles will give you already 4 physical cores, and each will have higher performance than x2 5600 cores at 2.8GHz .
Overclocking also adds performance well.
