The installer does not see the main hard drive, what could be the reason?

When trying to install Qubes OS, the main hard drive is not seen by the installer, what could be the problem? The BIOS sees the main hard drive, just like the main operating system boots from it.

You don't have enough drivers for your SATA controller. QubesOS has a Xen hypervisor under the hood, which is very likely not designed to run on desktops. If you find a driver, try to slip it, but you will break the concept itself - well, how is the driver **unsafe**?
