The ideal program for creating music

I have seen many different applications, from the simplest ones on mobile devices, ending with Guitar Studio Pro, and all of them, as I understand it, could do this ...
I need a program with which I could create unpretentious melodies (for example, background, intro ,etc). I am interested in what program will be optimal: so that you do not need to graduate from a music school to work with it, but also so that it is not a simple children's toy.
Looking forward to your options.

PS Of course, I mean programs that do not require external devices such as an electric guitar or a synthesizer. I need everything to be done directly on my computer.

fruity loops. Not a bad fan site here . Good luck with your work :)
The only thing I can say is that no program will ever replace the human soul in the matter of writing music.

Yes, any sequencer, from the popular ones - FL Studio, Cubase, Reason, Ableton, Apple Logic
There is still a wonderful "toy" version of Logic on the poppy - Garage Band)
There are many interesting things-in-itself for the iPad, like the Korg iMS-20 or Propellerhead ReBirth.

I recommend Garage Band, then you use the library of loops and mix them.
On Windows, you can use Abeltone, it also allows you to mix loops. In short, without a music school, everything revolves around loops.

Get Ableton Live. I have been using it myself for more than a year, I have not seen anything more convenient, especially when working with audio. Well, download loops / samples and into battle :)

> So I either spend a year learning guitar, a year learning piano, and another year learning drums. But in this age of digital technologies, I am sure that the ability to use one program on a computer can combine the ability to use many musical instruments
. Not really. I won’t go to your concert (and I’m unlikely to pay for the music, to be honest). But from the concerts of groups with live instruments, I'm bastard.

I tried everything: from the well-known FL and Cubase to Ableton Live and Apple Logic. I sat on the logic for a long time but eventually climbed onto Ableton Live. I support d4rkr00t, I haven't seen anything more convenient.
An example of the latest Roger Shar remix, everything from arranging to mixing and mastering on Live ( www.talenthouse.com/creativeinvites/preview/ad4142a2510df46e2758a12c45f310ea/302 ) only the vocals are taken from the original. samples - only individual drums (one-shots)
