The files on the disk are not displayed. What to do?

I use a DVD RW disc as a flash drive. When reading and writing via PC, everything works fine. But when I insert it into the laptop, problems arise:
Firstly, it takes a long time to load, and it is shown that it is full, but in fact it is not
. no files other than desktop.ini . And it is in the section "Prepared for recording"
This problem has already been googled. And everyone writes that you need to remove the drive in the device manager and reboot. BUT IT DOESN'T HELP.
Is it a system problem or is the drive to blame?

I read further with difficulty - my hand on my face interfered.
Yes. It is possible that it does not read normally such discs.

The best solution is to stop mocking yourself and common sense and buy a flash drive.
The simplest SanDisk Cruzer Blade for 16 gigs costs 200 rubles.
The fact that the disk is not readable is normal, as it should be, all disks sooner or later stop being read or written, just like the sidirums die over time.
