The explorer stopped opening, what should I do?

After I decided to change the explorer to files ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfKtCNXK_SY ) and back, my main one stopped opening giving errors -
application not found
no application associated with this file...

Roll back to a restore point before installing any "files" and, most importantly, before getting into the registry. Or that YouTube "teachers" do not warn that this had to be done? Then reinstall Windows - it will be faster and, most importantly, more reliable.

How did you get it back?
Have you deleted the Folder->shell->Files registry branch?
