The default printer flies in the WinServer 2012 R2 terminal, what could be the reasons?

There is a terminal server on Windows Server 2012R2. Recently, 2 out of 15 people began to fly off the printer by default. The printer itself remains in the system, but the "use by default" checkbox disappears. As a result, the printer seems to be there, but it does not print from applications until you check the "use by default" checkbox.
The printer is hooked up through the GPO in the "User Configuration - Settings - Control Panel Settings - Printers" section, where the printer is added as "General" and the user to which this printer is applied is specified through targeting.

The logs on the terminal server are clean, no errors or warnings. What I did:
1. I connected the printer as a local one, not a network one.
2. in HELL I changed the checkboxes in the "Environment" tab of the user.
3. I configured in the GPO forwarding to the terminal only the printer which is the default.

Have you tried reverse? To cling the printer not to the terminal, but to the workstation? And you will just have a "redirected" printer.
Or am I misunderstanding your situation?

I decided this for myself: a print server is installed, printers are published in AD - without this they will not work normally, through GPP printers are assigned by default to user groups in AD, on the terminal server it is indicated to use Easy Print in the first place (by the way, it does exactly that the same as ScrewDriver only "out of the box"), printer selection settings - as in the screenshots.
Most likely it is necessary to look carefully at targeting the printer in GPP - there are no other ideas, by the way, are they published in the AD of the printer?
