The death of the universe in science fiction, do such works exist?

Others, advise books on the topic "intelligent beings lived to the very end of the universe, what to do next." If such exist at all.
Thank you.

Charles Strauss "Palimpsest". Not quite to the end of the universe, of course, but I can’t remember a larger scale.

not that it’s a work, the series doctor who, I don’t remember exactly which season, towards the end, they beat this topic well there. Even in the tetralogy of Dan Simmons there is, in a sense, the death of the universe, but there are 4 books of 800 sheets :)

Tau Zero is about this, but the novel itself is about something else, of course. But it's short, you can read it :)
