The cursor is in pixels. Why?
I recently encountered such a problem. The mouse cursor after a certain moment of turning on the computer becomes unusual. After a reboot, the problem disappears, but not for long. I didn't find a solution to this problem.
Very strange, but in the screenshots, the mouse cursor looks completely normal, so I'll show you a photo.

Check the mouse properties in the "Advanced mouse options" flags "Enable pointer shadow" and "Show pointer trail" (off by default). Maybe one of them looks like this?
