The client offered to pay directly through payoneer, is it safe?
Hello!
What could be the catch? Payment is weekly.

A week of work is not such a disaster (a month, of course, yes). Depends on how much you are already working, 2 of my main customers asked to switch to alternative payment and honestly said that the team is large and everyone is transferred for the sake of savings (UpWork - 10%, Elance - 8.5% is eaten). Everything is transferred through PayPal.
If the customer is "fresh", then I would refuse such a knight's move.
This is prohibited by the rules of the exchange a
hundred times sucked
a direct path to an eternal ban without the right to rehabilitation or bondage to the customer
The more money at stake (these 10% "tax" on the upwork can be more than the average Russian salary), the more the brain turns off in the hope of saving money. As a result, saving leads to a complete file.
Don't skimp on something like this.
It's not worth it. 10% is so little of any amount compared to the big deal, which arises from the fact that you need to independently regulate and monitor everything, which is better to work through the exchange. It's bad that there is no bonus from exchanges for bringing clients to them.. So it would make more sense to drag supporters of clients to them.
