The client does not receive DNS through the SSTP VPN tunnel. How to fix?
Please tell me why the client does not receive a DNS server from the RouterOS Server in the cloud ( CHR )
IP > DNS: added DNS servers and allow remote request.
IP > DHCP server and Network: Not used. I did everything according to different guides from the Internet. And the essence of the server is only in the VPN. Nowhere was there even a talk about a DHCP server. If this is a bug, then please correct me. (The server configured only on client micros.)
PPP > Profiles: A VPN profile has been created, it contains Local Address 172.16.16.1 and Remote address - the created pool is selected. Below, 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 are entered in the DNS fields. It seems that these DNS should be issued to clients.
But for some reason it doesn't happen.
IP > Firewall: It was empty, and now I added a few rules, but I turned them all off in order to make sure that they did not affect the issuance of DNS. Therefore, we believe that they do not exist.
IP > NAT: The masquerade rule for 172.16.16.0/24 is registered
As a result, the server works, clients successfully go to the Internet. Except for one moment. My ISP has blocked several sites via DNS . Replacement for any, type 1.1.1.1 Quietly removes the lock. But it's all done on the clients. Of course, I can continue to prescribe all this on clients. But after all it is necessary to know why the server itself does not issue DNS?
I think it is not difficult to guess that I am a beginner. If there is little information, I will promptly fill in everything missing, just direct me.
