The choice of bu macbook, which one to buy?

Hello!
Probably a stupid question, because it has already been asked 100 times, but that's it.
I want to buy myself a MacBook, but for now I'm thinking which model to choose.
What am I doing? UX / UI design, content manager and video processing - the maximum.
Previously, I worked on an asus x551 laptop like ... I was on i3 for 4 generations and it seemed like everything was fine.
Programs: photoshop (various mockups and photos), illustrator, final cut, figma.
And here I have a choice between:
Macbook air 2014-2015, on i5 and 8 GB of RAM, 256 ssd.
Or a 2013 macbook pro on i5 retina 13', another option is 14-15 partly a year, but this is a real edge if you're lucky.
On the screen, I will most likely buy a monitor.

I know that firmware is much better and stuff like that, but alas, the budget.

Tell me your impressions and in general what to do??

Apparently you don't need a laptop. It is better to buy a powerful stationary PC.
If you still want to feel the "magic of Apple", take a poppy mini to the monitor.

Take Proshka.
I don’t understand why an external monitor is needed for the MacBook, which are famous for their high-quality screen. It's better to save money and spend it on a new year, IMHO.
