The best way to organize video surveillance?
Good day!
There was a question about the organization of video surveillance in the office. In the future, it is also planned to install video surveillance not only in the main office, but also in an additional one, in another place.
24-hour video surveillance, re-recording frequency - 30 days, but may vary (not yet decided)
Reliability is very important so that recording occurs whenever possible (so that cameras do not fall off, etc.)
The ability to view content via online is very desirable. Both in real time and when viewing previously recorded data. Recording is desirable in 1920p, but 720p is fine in principle.
The number of cameras is from 5 to 10, it is unlikely that there will be more.
Therefore, some questions arose.
Cloud service or own server?
If it's a cloud, which one?
What if it's your own server?
What processor, what mother, what disks?
What cameras, digital or hybrid?
The essence of the task is to make it not too expensive and have what was listed above. And if I can somehow decide on the type of cameras myself, then with the necessary equipment - hardly. In any case, there are no plans to switch to even more than 10 cameras in the coming years, so buying high-performance equipment is not advisable.
I apologize for the fact that everything is written rather chaotically, but my head is exactly the same mess as above in the text :)

DVR for 16 channels, AHD / CVI / TVI format if not too expensive or IP if it's necessary for some reason. Cloud service from the manufacturer of the registrar or forward ports in the router.
I'm leaning towards IP.
something like this.

What processor, what mother, what disks?
Do not look in the direction of video servers, I have retested a lot of them: videolan, bolid, macroscop, a few more self-written ones, in general, more than 5 million rubles of budget money have been spent on acquiring this in 5 years. The most reliable solution turned out to be the registrars. If the budget allows, then hikvision or dahua, if not, then good options from HiQ, for example this one: hiq 9216 nth pro
The best way is equipment that supports the ivideon service . Closes all the questions you have raised.
