Text recognition in SWIFT?

Hello, friends!
My thesis supervisor set a goal for me: to implement text scanning using a smartphone. Never encountered this before. Where can I find lessons about recognizing something in the swift language? Thanks in advance for your time.

I doubt very much that smartphone resources are able to quickly recognize text on an a4 sheet, most likely most of these applications work on the principle: we take a photo, send it to the recognition service, we get an answer.
Of course, there are applications that do recognition on the fly, but they are focused on smaller volumes: a sign on the street, a product price tag, etc.
