For long-range use, a directional antenna is used and the power of the transmitter (pump generator) in the reader is increased, and sometimes, especially for 125 kHz cards, the size of the antenna is simply increased and the power is increased. Try to use directional antennas, but if there are several tags in the reaction and reception radius, success is unlikely. We will have to significantly modify the receiver software in order to select a useful signal from the noise of the cards. Once I worked with a company that was seriously engaged in tracking mifare tags, they use patch antennas with a diagram of 60 and 30 degrees, but complained that they could not overcome the second tag in the side lobe for a long time. In general, I would prefer another interface that can handle airtime utilization and collision avoidance
