Telegram links in FireFox "Unknown address type" how to fix?

The question concerns desktop FireFox on Windows. When you try to open a link to a channel in Telegram t.me/, it redirects to the protocol tg://resolve?domain= unknown to Fox and the browser displays "Firefox does not know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (tg) is not associated with any program or is not allowed in this context."
It is necessary that it opens the web version https://web.telegram.org/#/im?p= using the tg protocol, or at least does not redirect from t.me to tg.
I tried several manuals from the Mozilla community - it does not work, outdated infa is 15 years old.

Recent versions of firefox allow you to install protocol handlers separate from the system ones.
