Technologies for displaying 3D on a web page?

It is necessary to abandon the third-party service for displaying 3D models of electronic goods and create your own infrastructure for this functionality.
What will be used for:
1. Showing 3D models of various goods (flash drives, phones, cameras, etc.).
2. Modeling by users of covers, flash drives, in other words - a designer of goods.
Requirements: maximum "cross-platform", dynamic model management - loading/changes on the fly.
Now it seems like the technology based on WebGL is in the trend, but there are a lot of names and frameworks. If you already have implementation experience or have seen a well-functioning technology "in action", please advise. At the moment I'm leaning towards it , but there's still time to change my mind.
