Upwork
Mhay_Nagy, 2022-04-07 15:54:52

Take a look with your professional eye and tell me what's wrong please?

In short, there is such a thing, I remembered the Upwork profile (here is a link to it: https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~01e041d476c72e3c1c )
I have sent more than 20+ applications in 2 days, but no one answers me, the profile is full. The sheet I write to the client looks something like this
: "Dear Nimisha
I'm interested in a recent post about creating a 5-page site.
I am very familiar with CSS / HTML5 / JS / WordPress
I will do it as quickly and clearly as possible)
I already have an idea how to do it and because of that to be as fast as possible, the price will be $30 for everything.
As a professional, I pay attention to the details and features of the project in order to offer the best solution to your problem in time, as well as to communicate effectively with you / your team to achieve your goals. By continuing, I can start working on the project right away, because my working hours are flexible and I value your time.
I'm happy to help you make your website a success, so feel free to contact me directly to discuss our collaboration.
With best regards,
Mario Nod"
And I filled out the profile, and the sheet is normal + I set the boost so that it is on top and at least they answered me and saw my application. Maybe it's just because of the profile that I made? Or I just write unattractive sheets. For children 20+ applications did 1 job and 3 people replied to me.c

Just keep writing. Do not think that if they do not answer, this is something wrong with the profile, it is just still fresh. Others can get to the top of the list besides you in the same way .. and there is also competition in terms of experience and attractiveness.

This is redundant in my opinion. Write all the text in one line and immediately to the point, without water.

Previously, I would have insisted on going to work in an office for 3-5 years and then entering a highly paid freelance segment, but now there
is hardly such an opportunity.
.So it is impossible . First orders must be 5 stars.
Do everything for this, maximum diplomacy, work for free, answer immediately. It doesn't matter, the main thing is 5 stars.
2. any work, so that there are 5 stars, regardless of the price. after the first 5 orders you need a Top rated badge.
3. Short informative letters only about the task. Brevity is the soul of wit.
Well, patience .. I went upwork at the age of 17 with 8 years of experience, being in the league of professionals and downloaded the account for several weeks. for a month there were 5 orders at 5-15 dollars per hour (moreover, 50% of the time I worked for free, so that the client was very satisfied), the earnings were 200, roofing felts 800, I don’t remember. The clients were terrible, as if everyone had a mess with their head.
In the second month, already with a badge and reviews, there were better clients and more money.
The third month is already adequate customers at a rate of $30.
But it is important to understand that my hard skills have already been pumped to the senior level. And soft skills are well pumped.
4. Set up an rss search tracker with notifications. I stupidly sat and waited for new vacancies, left a unique letter to apply for the first 15 minutes.

I agree with the answers above. And also add - you have chosen a low-paying niche. There is a lot of competition in this niche. This is where all the other problems come from.

Hello!
Do not pour water in the cover letter: you can immediately see that it is template (inside, just a couple of phrases change for the customer). Therefore, there is no desire to read the whole thing.
Carefully study each vacancy that you apply for (sometimes in the text the customer even writes "indicate this in the letter or start the answer from that", because some people are infuriated by auto-responses.
Literally 2-3 sentences about experience specifically in this topic and 2-3 proposals for a specific project. When my accompanying became more unique, the responses became much more.Good luck!
