Tablet screen resolution issue in browser

We have a tablet with a resolution of 1280 by 800 px.
We open Google Chrome - we determine the resolution, we get 962 by 661.
There are no sidebars. God bless her with the height, why is the width not 1280 and how to change it?

I had the same problem, I solved it by inserting

<head> 
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;" />
</head>

Try it, it might help :)
