Tablet as a navigator?
I liked the Ainol Novo 7 Fire tablet. Completely satisfied with the characteristics and price, but there is one "but" - the lack of GPS. But I plan to use the tablet as a car navigator.
I have not seen alternatives with similar performance characteristics, quality and price tag <$200.
Hence the question: is it possible to turn Fire into a full-fledged navigator and how?
UPD . I don’t have a smartphone, I use the usual “dialer”. Interested in a bundle with an external GPS receiver: the price of the question, do you need something else (the same SIM card)?

Can. For example, connect a tablet via bluetooth with a smartphone that has a GPS module. Of course, by installing the software on the tablet for this.
Look Freelander PD20
There is GPS and costs sane money.
I took it for myself specifically for the navigator, but I can’t evaluate it yet, because there is no car yet.
There is a delivery version with a holder and power from the cigarette lighter
I ordered FreeLander PD10 for myself exactly as a “navigator in the car” there is a 3g version (pull up the information about traffic jams). Of the minuses: MTK6575, not an IPS screen.
There are also external USB GPS receivers, such as this .
So, they work great with laptops (Windows and Linux), but according to the manufacturer, they do not work with Android. If you need an external GPS, then it is advised to use Bluetooth receivers, such as these .
I have already seen a gazelle with a tablet as a navigator on the streets of Moscow. Stands in a cradle on the torpedo. Looks very harmonious.
