Hello. I am preparing for the exam and got the following question

Synthesis and analysis of discrete systems (combination circuits and finite automatic machines).

Requires a C++ implementation.
I can't understand in any way what exactly is required in this question, how to implement it, etc.
Please point me in the right direction :)
