ln -s /media/bitrix/www/upload /home/bitrix/www/upload

on the link, the rights are 755, the bitrix group, on the link, all files with rights 644 and folders 755.
But still 403 is given

We figured it out, it turned out that you need to set the rights not only to the folder and files inside it, but also to the directory above, unfortunately I don’t work as a Linux user, so for me it was not intuitive ...
