Switching from Win7/Win8.1 to Win10 why does it say "Out of Range"?
I upgraded from win7 to win10. Everything went well, except ... win10 boots up and the monitor turns off, writes "Out of range". I violated the installation and restarted again, but with a resolution of 800x600 (the same). But the screen does not work on my laptop, so an external monitor is connected.

usually on laptops there is a key combination to change the monitor mode like fn + F (0-12)
and so, there are 3 external monitor modes:
only the main one, the external one is disabled
Due to the fact that you have mode 1 turned on, you get "out of range", you need to play around and press the combination to find the desired mode
