Everything is normally updated from the seven, updated all the computers at work and at home, everything works fine. And you need to do the following: the first thing is to check if your software is licensed, open the properties of your computer and look in the lower right corner there should be this icon:
If you are a pirate, look for a good hack, for example, Windows Loader.
Next step: go to Control Panel => System and Security => Windows Update. if updates are disabled, then enable and install the latest mandatory updates. After installing all the updates and several reboots, you should have a Windows 10 icon in your tray.
Before moving on, try to clean your computer as much as possible, remove junk programs, clean the registry, run the system with an antivirus. Required documents, photos, videos, etc. move to another partition of the disk or to another medium (well, you never know) all five of my computers behaved absolutely adequately, nothing was missing, all the programs worked fine, but take security measures just in case.
Then everything is simple and clear, we press the button, we agree that we want to go to 10 and follow the further instructions. Nothing complicated.
Like he said everything.
Recently I saw how an empty Windows 8.1 was updated to 10 and after that the video card drivers began to fall .. I would not advise updating with saving data. It is better to pull out what you need for each program, reinstall everything cleanly and copy it back.
