Switching from synclient to something else?
Here's the situation: I'm using GNOME Shell. If I login
1) through lightdm, I get to use synclient to set up the touchpad; a lot of settings, that's good
2) through gdm -- then the gnomish tuner which will see the touchpad out of the box, but the synclient won't work, says the driver is not loaded. Also with gdm I get access to a native blocker, so to speak
. And the bottom line is that the gnomish tuner is not powerful enough. It has only one sensitivity slider and the ability to choose how to scroll. There is no acceleration setting (because of which I cannot move my finger as comfortably as with synaptic), there are no other settings ... What is the analogue? Schaub, I could put my corrections into the script and add it to autorun.
