Switching from openstack admin to amazon?

Guys need advice.
I have been working as a cloud administrator on the Openstack platform for 3 years, the first year I used the Mirantis platform, now Red Hat Openstack. There is a small backlog in this area.
They call to the office where the Amazon (AWS) cloud is widely used.
The question is not even money, how much in the long run.
Where is the best place to invest your most valuable capital - time?
I know the Openstack platform quite well, but I constantly stumble over the fact that it is very difficult to find normal documentation on the platform, even if we have Red Hat Openstack, in fact, I leave only on experience and perseverance.
Now I constantly ask myself that I don’t want to be left with nothing because I see how Openstack stupidly copies some chips from Amazon (AWS) and is constantly in the position of catching up. Maybe immediately go learn from the source?
Thank you.

In fact, two strategies of behavior -

it is very difficult to find normal platform documentation
write documentation, most likely for a long time and for free
Maybe immediately go learn from the source?
or join the leader
And your choice of "where to go" you have most likely already made
But to
I don't want to be left with nothing
you need to study both solutions and their competitors, and not tie your entire career to just one.

If it’s about prospects, then you need to switch to docker

Tomorrow there will be another cloud. So never get up.
Openstack is more promising.
