Suggest mail system for small business

Good day!
I administer a small business for 10 people. At the moment there is a living hell with the mail. Several mailboxes are registered at the enterprise - part on mail.ru, part on yandex.ru, part on a normal domain. As clients, The Bat is used (on all machines). Each client is configured for all mailboxes. The downloaded mail ends up in a shared network folder. If one person downloads mail, it appears in others.
And this system worked for the time being, until the mail archives reached the size of 10-20GB. And everything began to hang, and everything began to break.
And since I myself have little sense in administration, I ask for advice - how can I replace such a system? Those. collecting mail from all mailboxes, synchronizing it with clients. It is desirable that the software be free.

pdd.yandex.ru or leave everything as it is, but store mail for each client on the machine. Let the client when he downloads his mail - leaves it on the server.

Why not put a local mail server on *nix? Buying a domain costs a penny. And nobody canceled a sheaf of exim+dovecot+mysql. Set once and forget for a long time. Manuals for raising heaps in the network can be deployed in 20 minutes.

Google Apps, Office 365.
Use a web face, in extreme cases - an IMAP client of your choice.
