sudo mode in su mode?

I never set up a superuser when installing Debian, skipped entering a password for it, and therefore worked as a normal user in sudo mode, which debian automatically configures, if I didn’t create a super, I decided to try: I set up a super.

In su mode, you need to use sudo, what's the catch?

There is no specific question, I understand that I could not run apt update, if so, then try su - , or do you need to explain why it does not work?
