Subdomain on another hosting. How was it implemented?

A subdomain like site.mysite.ru has a completely different IP address than mysite.ru. No redirects are configured in the ISP control panel on mysite.ru hosting, there is only one WWW domain - mysite.ru. Is it possible that a person who has access to an account with the nic.ru registrar assigned additional DNS of another server to the mysite.ru domain and it is on these assigned DNS that site.mysite.ru is hosted?

A subdomain on another hosting is easier to set up than a subdomain on the same hosting.
Cram what DNS is and how A records work in it
