Strengthening the WI-FI signal, possible ways?

Hello. I wanted to ask what devices exist to enhance the reception of the WI-FI signal. And at what distances is the robot possible?

You would have voiced the initial data:
Laptop / phone / tablet
or
Fixed computer
or Network
devices, routers
For pci devices, you can use special antennas
For laptops / tablets / phones, unless you change the position in space, adjust the channels and signal strength at the source
devices, there are such things - directional wifi bridges, the distance reaches tens of kilometers, narrowly targeted devices, but they operate in pairs, just aiming for a free subway will not work

distance speed and how much money is supposed to be spent.
otherwise some kind of horse in a vacuum.

First you need to select the correct channel and fine-tune the source.

1. If the Wi-Fi devices on the receiving and transmitting sides are integrated into the computer and do not have any external connections (as, for example, in laptops), nothing can be done (more precisely, it is possible, but using a soldering iron and other rough tools).
2. If the Wi-Fi adapter has a plug with a switchable finger antenna, it must be replaced with a directional one, and in order to achieve max. range, this must be done at both ends - the receiving and transmitting, and accurately orient to each other according to the maximum signal. Such antennas can be homemade (here is an example of manufacturing from a satellite dish , it gives an increase in range from hundreds of meters to kilometers, but requires very precise orientation).
3. The easiest way to increase the range is if the Wi-Fi adapter is on a USB tail. It can simply be placed in the focus of the same parabolic mirror as in point 2. But the problem here is that the USB tail cannot exceed 1.8 m in length, otherwise the connection through it becomes unstable. This means that the plate should be located near the computer, which is not always convenient.

The most important thing is that both devices have the same transmitter strength.
For example, if you unscrew the power of your AP by 100% and move away with a phone / tablet, let's say 20-30 meters, then yes you will see the AP, but it can easily not see you because there is a weak transmitter.
Those. if the goal is to increase coverage, then it is better to underestimate the power on the AP and increase the number of these APs.
If you need to connect 2 remote points, then here you can beat the kilometers - directional antennas, the speed, however, will not be very good, and in general the radio signal at such distances is not a thankful task.
