On the Alcatel 918D phone, I turn on the access point and the following picture is observed: the tablets see it and work. E-book does not see. If you try to connect with a laptop with WinXP, the dot is not visible, but on UBUNT the same laptop sees and works.
I don't even know how to explain it.

As an option, check the channel on which the point is broadcasting. Some devices do not see channels after 11-13
