Strange button behavior in Linux Mint?

I don’t know what to do anymore) I tried almost everything)
Maybe smart people will tell you what other options you can try.
In general, today the computer began to behave strangely.
When you click on ctrl, the page size in the browser (firefox) decreases.
There is no such behavior in Google Chrome, but there is a jamb there, you can’t switch to another tab, the last one always opens, switches to it itself.
Also another crap, when you try to change the keyboard layout, the browser goes to the previous page.
I installed a new mouse and changed the keyboard. Tried to put the old ones, the problem does not disappear.
The computer has already overloaded 15 times, even did a hard reboot.
I did not find anything special in the keyboard settings, but just in case, I restored everything to default.
Disconnected all USB devices and reconnected.
The problem appeared by itself, I did not install any updates, there are no new programs either.
What else can you try to find the cause of this craziness?

It's a mouse wheel issue. You can easily check: open Firefox, disable the mouse and press Ctrl - if the problem is gone, then the guess is correct.
