Strange behavior of the Wi-Fi adapter when connecting the hard drive via USB 3.0
The problem is as follows (I specifically indicate everything in detail, because I went off my feet to look for the cause): an Acer V5-171 laptop with Windows 7 x64 SP1 is connected via wi-fi to an Asus WL500gP2 (802.11g) router.
Periodically, a Zalman ZM-VE300 usb3.0 box with a 2.5" WD5000BEVT screw inside is connected to the laptop. Connecting via USB3.0 leads to the disappearance of the wi-fi signal, a good half of the neighbors' points disappear from the list of available Windows connections. By USB2.0 everything works fine without conflicts.I
already reinstalled and updated the drivers for both the adapter (Atheros AR5BWB222) and for usb3.0 to the latest versions. It
did not
help. This is how the disappearance in inSSIDer looks like (jump after disappearance - safe removal of the device WITHOUT removing the cord ):

There are also some tips, which I hope will be at least a little helpful. Only one thing helped me: include an external drive in eSATA ...
The owner of exactly the same box. Included was a small, terrible quality lace - the Chinese would have laughed. Lost contact constantly. I bought a long (1.8 m mine) cable with gold-plated contacts for 300 r. Heaven and earth. First of all, do the same - for sure this stub is not shielded.
