Storing virtual infrastructure backups in the cloud?

A project is planned to virtualize the infrastructure of a small company. At the first stage, we want to use free solutions (Free VMware vSphere Hypervisor as a hypervisor and ghettoVCB.sh for backups). In the short term - vSphere 5.1 Essentials Plus + Veeam Essentials + EMC VNXe as storage. Backups would like to be stored somewhere in the cloud. Who faced a similar task? You need to cheaply store backups somewhere in the cloud, which would allow you to quickly restore if necessary and easily integrate with Veeam B&R / ghettoVCB. Backups must be stored encrypted. The equipment will be located in a data center in Europe.

In storing backups, the most important thing, in fact, is the speed of their extraction to a state from which data can be restored. If this parameter does not meet the requirements of the business, all the others no longer play a role. I see that you are missing this point. That is, to encrypt and send over the Kudykin mountain is a simple matter. But what will you do when you had to recover an hour ago, and there is fog on the Kudykina mountain, the Internet lags, your backups are downloaded at a speed of 50 kilobytes per second (and then it turns out that it is still not decoded, so it is encrypted well).
Say that you were asked to create a "backup system", but there was no talk of a "recovery system"?
"Me... they'll eat it, sir."

Perhaps it makes sense to ask the host where you will be located - does it have a backup data center, and store backups there?

Offhand - for free ESX backups - there is a widely advertised software from Veeam - it can migrate between ESX hosts, add backups to the archive too. Apparently, he also knows how to restore, as a reverse procedure.

Check out this cloud backup solution for small business: CoudBerry It can be chained with (IMHO) any backup product that can back up ESXi.
